Several if not most countries have similar equipment. The Dutch armed forces for instance use models like the Werklust WG18Edef, which weighs 15 tons, 2 more than the corresponding unarmored civilian model. In addition, the Dutch military previously used extra armor modules covering most of the window surface with steel for extra protection. These were however not popular with the crews due to low visibility.

The Vintage Tractor Pulling Association and National Tractor Pulling Legends Series have teamed up for two upcoming vintage pulling events. Each series celebrate the history of the sport of pulling, featuring trucks and tractors built pre-1980’s.

Prior to the tractor loader, materials such as asphalt, rock, debris from demolitions, logs, wood chips, and many others had to be moved by hand. This type of hand transport often required many different workers, and moving one pile of material to a construction vehicle took quite a number of hours to complete. When the tractor loader was invented, the need for laborers to spend hours moving heavy material was eliminated.

Earlier this year, consumers sent 40,000 comments to the Copyright Office—all of them urging the restoration of ownership rights. The year before, consumers and activists forced a law through Congress that made it legal to unlock a cellphone and move it to a different carrier.

In August 2010 John Deere had another dealer meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio to introduce still more tractors. This was confirmed at Deere.com on August 26, 2010 with the announcement of more new 8R/8RT Series tractors. These new models are 2011 year tractors with several improvements.

When you’re looking to rent an excavator, it’s particularly important to pay attention to their specifications. There are dozens of excavators available on the rental market, but each of them has different power requirements, weight, and bucket sizes. Those three factors can determine the amount of material that can be moved at one time, as well as how long it will take to complete a particular job.

These loaders are a popular addition to tractors from 50 to 200 hp. Its current ‘drive-in’ form was originally designed and developed in 1958 by a Swedish company named Ålö when they launched their Quicke loader.[3] Tractor loaders were developed to perform a multitude of farming tasks, and are popular due to their relatively low cost (compared to Telehandler) and high versatility. Tractor loaders can be fitted with many attachments such as hydraulic grabs and spikes to assist with bale and silage handling, forks for pallet work, and buckets for more general farm activities.

A skid loader is a small loader utilizing four wheels with hydraulic drive that directs power to either, or both, sides of the vehicle. Very similar in appearance and design is the track loader, which utilizes a continuous track on either side of the vehicle instead of the wheels. Since the expiration of Bobcat’s patent on its quick-connect system, newer tractor models are standardizing that popular format for front end attachments.

Discussion: The farmer is convinced that the brakes malfunctioned on his tractor. He reported receiving calls from other farmers regarding similar problems using this type of tractor. It is not in the scope of the FACE program to test and determine whether the malfunction took place or whether it is typical for this tractor model. There may be a possibility of varying hydraulic oil levels when using a tractor on an incline, and this may affect performance of the tractor hydraulics and the brakes. Further testing would be needed to prove or exclude this possibility.

Known as traction engines, the source of the word “tractor,” these steam tractors were used for both plowing and threshing. Manufacturers of early steam tractors included Minneapolis Threshing Machine Co., J.I. Case, and Advance-Rumely. Because farm machinery is now so high-tech, the only way to silence the error message is by plugging in a special diagnostic tool – essentially a computer loaded with troubleshooting software that connects to a port inside the tractor – to identify and resolve the problem. Only manufacturers and authorized dealers are allowed that tool, and they charge hundreds of dollars in call-out fees to use it. For a fifth-generation farmer in an increasingly squeezed industry, whose family has spent decades fixing the equipment they paid for, it’s a tough pill to swallow. He’s coped with the intermittent alarm sound for almost a year.

Excavators are also called diggers, JCBs[4] (a proprietary name, in an example of a generic trademark), mechanical shovels, or 360-degree excavators (sometimes abbreviated simply to 360). Tracked excavators are sometimes called “trackhoes” by analogy to the backhoe.[5] In the UK, wheeled excavators are sometimes known as “rubber ducks.”[6]

John Deere is the brand name of Deere & Company, an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment. In 2017, it was listed as 105th in the Fortune 500 America’s ranking and was ranked 407th in the global ranking.[3][4] The company also provides financial services and other related activities.

Take on the tough jobs in a tractor you’ll be proud to own. Featuring environmentally-friendly performance with increased engine power and a focus on operator comfort, Kubota has everything you want in an economy utility tractor.

By 1925, the company realized the standard Model D did not meet customers’ needs for industrial applications. Steel wheels were not suitable for hard surfaces, and the gearing was too slow for safe road speeds. Solid rubber tires were added, and engineers fitted a 28-tooth sprocket to the final drive, giving a road speed of 4 mph (6.4 km/h). The company replaced the 465 cu in (7.62 l) two-cylinder engine with a 501 cu in (8.21 l). In 1926, Deere advertised the model as the “John Deere Industrial Tractor” with 40 × b inch[clarification needed] rear wheels and 24 in × 3.5 in (610 mm × 89 mm) fronts with solid tires. This became known as the “DI”. Options also included wheel weights.[5]

On March 17, 2009 Deere.com announced the new 152 hp 7530 Premium tractor. During the week of August 13, 2009 the company had another big dealer meeting in Omaha, Nebraska to introduce the new 8R/8RT row crop and track tractors to their dealers. On August 20, 2009 at Deere.com a news release was posted on the 8R, 8RT and two new 5105M specialty tractors. Six new green-and-yellow 8R row crop tractors 225 hp 8225R, 245 hp 8245R,270 hp 8270R, 295 hp 8295R, 320 hp 8320R and the 345 hp 8345R. PTO ratings are 181, 198, 220, 242, 263 and 284 respectively. The 8225R is the only one available as a two-wheel-drive model. Optional IVT or Powershift Transmissions. In John Deere language the first number=size, the next three numbers are the engine hp and the letter at the end stands for capability. The six tractors range from 225 to 345 hp with the 8345R being the most powerful row crop model on the market. Also shown to the dealers were the new 8RT rubber track tractor models. These three models are the 295 hp 8295RT, 320 hp 8320RT and the 345 hp 8345RT. The T at the end stands for tracks. Other than that the numbers in the 8RT Series are the same in their 8R counterparts. PTO hp for the three 8RT tractors are 239, 260 and 281 respectively.

A swingloader is a rigid frame loader with a swinging boom. The boom can swing 180 degrees or more. Swingloaders are primarily used by the railroad industry to lay rail. Like other loaders many attachments can be attached to the boom such as magnets, forks, and buckets. Smaller swingloaders are used in farming applications for loading out. A swinging boom is advantageous where space is limited. The loader is able to lift on all sides and dump off on all sides.
The rental cost of an excavator is dependent on several factors including the location of the construction site, the make, model, and size of the excavator, and the length of time that the equipment is being rented for. Generally speaking, excavators can cost anywhere from $150 to $1500 a day.

Except instead a game that cost you $40, it’s a tractor that cost $30,000 and should be able to run for years to come.

1977 saw what came to be known as “Seven in ’77.” The company’s first compact diesels, the “Task Master” tractors, were introduced in the 22 hp 850 and 27 hp 950. Other than that the big news was what John Deere called “The New Iron Horses” with more horses and more iron. These were the 90 hp 4040, 110 hp 4240, 130 hp 4440, 156 hp 4640, and the 180 hp 4840, which replaced the 6030. The “Iron Horses” featured an improved Sound Guard Body with hydraulic suspension and Deere’s Personal Posture seat as standard equipment. The 4240, 4440, 4640, and 4840 featured a new engine.

THE NEWBIE – The tractors that we now call “antique” served their owners well in many ways. One of the most important ways was their use in hay harvesting, when they pulled or powered equipment for mowing, raking, and baling. These days, haying is done with modern, enclosed, and air-conditioned tractors, but some people still keep those old machines in use, either out of necessity or as a link to our agricultural past.
In 1989, Deere replaced the 6620, 7720, and 8820 with a new line of completely redesigned ‘Maximizer’ combines that included the 9400, 9500, and 9600 walker combines. These combines were completely redesigned and featured a center-mounted cab, rear-mounted engine, and more comforts in the cab. Also in 1989, Deere was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. In 1997, Deere celebrated 50 years of self-propelled combine production, and the 1997 models featured a 50th-anniversary decal. In 1998, the 9410, 9510, and 9610 were introduced. These were essentially the same machines, but with minor upgrades. Deere dealers offered ’10 series’ upgrades to owners of older 9000 series Maximizer combines. In 1999, Deere introduced the 50 series Maximizer combines. These machines featured significant cosmetic upgrades including a more streamlined appearance, improved ergonomics in the cab, PTO shaft-style header hook-up, and the larger models were available as rotary machines which were a complete departure from the combines that Deere had built in the past.[37]
Utility: These John Deere farm trucks are designed to meet basic outdoor needs. They range in scale from compact single-family options to high-horsepower multi-family models. Utility tractors are made to be durable, versatile, and fuel efficient.

The 1930s and 1940s saw a large number of different John Deere models emerge, as small farmers emerging from their Depression troubles increasingly turned from horses to tractors. John Deere’s GM model was introduced in 1942, and was made until 1947. Power was increased to 38 hp and a new sjix-speed transmission was also added. The G model got a restyled front at this point as did the other John Deere tractors models. The GM had electric start and lights added to its options. During its production time the G tractor was available in hi-crop and single front wheel versions. The G was restyled in 1941 but did not start to roll off the assembly line until early 1942. Like the smaller A and B tractors the G model had the six-speed transmission added to it. In 1946, the 1946 model “D” had a 501-cubic-inch engine, which was enormous for the day. Two new additions to the tractor line, the M and R models, were also added.

Tractor front loaders are devices which are broadly similar to the scoops of diggers, and can be attached to tractors. A tractor front end loader is useful in everyday agricultural machinery activities such as carrying and loading hay baler. A tractor with front end loader is a useful piece of equipment on a farm where large objects are transported on a regular basis.

In the fall of 1996, a 51-year-old Iowa farmwife was killed while helping her husband and son build a new home on their farm. The woman and her 21-year-old son were standing next to the exterior foundation of the home covering drainage tubing with gravel. The woman was holding down the tile with her feet while her son was shoveling gravel out of a partially-filled front end loader bucket on a tractor his father was driving. The edge of the bucket was approximately three feet from the foundation wall when this work began. The father had the tractor in gear with the clutch pushed in, and his foot on the brakes, sitting on a slope of about 18 degrees downwards towards the house foundation. When he began to raise the bucket, suddenly the farmer heard his son yell at him and realized the tractor was creeping forward towards the foundation despite his pressure on the brakes. He saw son being pinned to the wall with his back towards the tractor, then realized that his wife was also being pinned to the wall with the other corner of the bucket. He immediately put the tractor in reverse and backed off, at which time both his wife and son fell to the ground. The son received only minor injuries to his back, but the farmer’s wife was killed instantly from internal vascular rupture.

In 2008, the first Tractors to get this scheme were the 5D, 5E, 5E Limited edition and the 6D Series tractors. These tractors were introduced at the annual John Deere dealer meeting. This year’s event was held in Denver, Colorado.

Presently, the largest loader in the world is called the LeTourneau L-2350. This machine, produced in Texas, has a diesel propulsion system, and each wheel has a separate electric motor. These machines are reserved for large industrial jobs that cannot be completed with a regular loader. In addition to construction loaders, snowplows also fit within the “loader” category. Since snowplows have a large trough-like bucket, a large amount of torque, and independent arms, these machines can be considered loaders. Snowplows can also come in the form of an attachment that can be adhered to the front of a truck in order to remove snow from residential areas.

Loaders are used mainly for loading materials into trucks, laying pipe, clearing rubble, and digging. A loader is not the most efficient machine for digging as it cannot dig very deep below the level of its wheels, like a backhoe can. The capacity of a loader bucket can be anywhere from 0.5 to 36 m3[1] depending upon the size of the machine and its application. The front loader’s bucket capacity is generally much bigger than a bucket capacity of a backhoe loader.

The first tractors in the United States were introduced in the middle of the 19th century and were powered by steam. Known as traction engines, the source of the word “tractor,” these steam tractors were used for both plowing and threshing. Manufacturers of early steam tractors included Minneapolis Threshing Machine Co., J.I. Case, and Advance-Rumely. In 1892, an Iowa inventor named John Froelich built the first gasoline-powered tractor,…Continue Reading

In 1842, Deere entered a business partnership with Leonard Andrus and purchased land for the construction of a new, two-story factory along the Rock River in Illinois. This factory, named the “L. Andrus Plough Manufacturer”, produced about 100 plows in 1842 and around 400 plows during the next year. Deere’s partnership with Andrus ended in 1848, and Deere relocated to Moline, Illinois, to have access to the railroad and the Mississippi River. There, Deere formed a partnership with Robert Tate and John Gould and built a 1,440-square-foot (134 m2) factory the same year. Production rose quickly, and by 1849, the Deere, Tate & Gould Company was producing over 200 plows a month. A two-story addition to the plant was built, allowing further production.

Increased competition during the early 1900s from the new International Harvester Company led the company to expand its offerings in the implement business, but the production of gasoline tractors came to define Deere & Company’s operations during the 20th century.

In addition to the advanced engine technology, the “10” series tractors offered many other upgrades from the older two-cylinder models they replaced, including significantly higher horsepower-to-weight ratio, advanced hydraulics, more convenient and comfortable operator stations, and many other improvements. Of the “10” series John Deere tractors introduced in 1960, the 4010 was by far the most popular, with more than 58,000 units sold from 1960 to 1963. The success of the “10” series John Deere tractors, led by the 4010, helped propel John Deere from a 23% market share in 1959 to 34% by 1964 when the 4020 was introduced, making it the top manufacturer of farm equipment in the United States.[33][34][35]

According to information released by the company at the time of the event, John Deere dealers and key employees came to Dallas via the “largest commercial airlift of its type ever attempted.” During the 24 hours leading up to the event, 16 airlines brought Deere employees and sales people from all over the United States and Canada to Love Field in Dallas. Bill Hewitt, then chairman and CEO of Deere & Company, welcomed the dealers and introduced the new tractors. Hewitt told the guests they were about to see “a line of entirely new tractors – completely modern in every respect – with outstanding features duplicated in any other make of tractor.”

The 4010 was rated at 80 horsepower in 1960, but tested at 84 horsepower during testing trials, making it one of the most powerful two-wheel-drive farm tractors at that time. The 4010 was the predecessor to the 4020, which is widely regarded as the most popular tractor ever produced by John Deere, and perhaps any tractor manufacturer in the United States. Although the 4020, which was available with Deere’s optional Power Shift, enjoyed greater popularity, the 4010 moved John Deere into the modern era of farm tractor technology and design following its successful history as a tractor manufacturer that was by the late 1950s experiencing waning market share due to its outdated technology.

That wide range, however, can be narrowed as soon as you know what type of excavator you want to rent. Mini-excavators usually rent between $200 and $500 a day, while heavy-duty excavators that are meant for mining work can rent for up to $3000 a day. Mid-range models go for $400 to $1200 a day. Contractors will find that they can save money on larger projects (or combining projects together) and renting an excavator for a week or month at a time. Expect to save about 20-30% off the daily price of equipment for renting it by the week, and up to 60% renting it by the month.

During the 1970s, John Deere introduced 36 new models. In 1972 John Deere introduced the Generation II tractors. Generation II was characterized by the optional Sound Guard body which was the first truly successful integrated tractor cab. This innovative cab was isolated from the tractor by large rubber bushings which dampened vibrations, and the interior was insulated with foam to reduce noise and protect the operator from extreme temperatures outside. A foam pad on the firewall and sheets of lead under the dash greatly reduced engine noise inside the cab. The Sound Guard body also featured a rounded front windshield with an integrated door. The door post was in line with the exhaust and air intake pipes pipe through the hood for the best forward visibility possible. Fully integrated heating and air conditioning was standard equipment, and it also featured windshield wipers, a dome light, a red interior lamp to illuminate the gear shift levers and hydraulic controls during nighttime operation, and speakers for an optional AM/FM radio which many farmers added because they found the cab so quiet they could actually hear it. When it was introduced it was the quietest tractor cab in the industry and a vast improvement over the aftermarket cabs that John Deere had previously retrofitted to its tractors.

There are many ways to start collecting antique farm equipment. Some collectors choose to focus on one piece of equipment or equipment used to raise one type of crop or animal. Others chose to focus their collection on equipment produced during a single time frame. Still others focus on those made by a particular company or those handmade by farmers. Finally, some collectors focus on equipment made of a specific material.

The large, roomy cab has a fully-adjustable Super Deluxe seat and the automotive-style climate control system keeps you comfortable. This machine has unmatched power to help you push through your toughest jobs.

The predecessor of Waterloo Boy came about in 1892. It was made by thresherman John Froelich. It is called the Froelich tractor. Scale Models of Dyersville, Iowa[1] made a 1/16 scale toy of this tractor. In March 1918 Deere & Company decided to continue its foray into the tractor business by purchasing the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company which manufactured the popular Waterloo Boy tractor at its facilities in Waterloo, Iowa.

The first Model D rode on steel wheels with a 6.5 in × 7 in (170 mm × 180 mm) (later 6.75 in × 7 in (171 mm × 178 mm)) two-cylinder hand-cranked engine rated 15–27 hp (11–20 kW).[4] It was not, however, the first tractor to bear the Deere name – as a number of Deere experimental tractors, and the John Deere Dain “All Wheel Drive” tractor (of which approximately 100 were produced during 1918 and 1919) had all carried the Deere name before the D.

Excavators (hydraulic) are heavy construction equipment consisting of a boom, dipper (or stick), bucket and cab on a rotating platform known as the “house”.[1] The house sits atop an undercarriage with tracks or wheels. They are a natural progression from the steam shovels and often mistakenly called power shovels. All movement and functions of a hydraulic excavator are accomplished through the use of hydraulic fluid, with hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic motors.[2] Due to the linear actuation of hydraulic cylinders, their mode of operation is fundamentally different from cable-operated excavators which use winches and steel ropes to accomplish the movements.[3]
In 1982 11 new 50 series tractors from 40 up to 192.99 hp debuted. The 40 hp 1250, 45 hp 2150, 55 hp 2350, 65 hp 2550, 75 hp 2750, 85 hp 2950, 100 hp 4050, 120 hp 4250, 140 hp 4450, 165 hp 4650 and 192.99 hp 4850. From the 2150 to the 4850 got another industry leading innovation in the use of Castor Action mechanical front-wheel drive which provided 20 percent more pulling power. Like the front tires of a motor grader this Castor/Action Mechanical Front Wheel Drive (MFWD) had the front tires lean to give a shorter turning radius. Deere’s 50 series tractors also offered a new power shift transmission with 15 operating speeds. When tested in Nebraska the 4850 was the most fuel efficient tractor ever tested over 60 hp.

In the late 1970s, International Harvester had pioneered rotary combines with their Axial flow machines, and were soon followed by other manufacturers, but Deere continued to build only conventional walker combines through the 1980s and 1990s. In 1999, John Deere introduced the Single-Tine Separation (STS) system on its 9550, 9650, and 9750 combines, representing a step forward in rotary combine technology. The STS system uses less horsepower and improves material handling.[8]
During the fall of 1996, a 51-year-old wife of an Iowa farmer was killed while building a new farmhouse. The Iowa FACE program became aware of the incident by a telephone call from the county Sheriff. Additional information was gathered from newspapers and the police, and a site visit was conducted later in the fall by the Iowa FACE investigator and a farm safety specialist. They interviewed the farmer, saw the home still under construction, and photographed the tractor, which was being used daily on the farm. The family farm consisted of the farmer, his wife, and two of their sons, one of whom was injured in this incident. They produced corn, hogs and cattle. The farmer, his wife, and their 21-year-old son were working together when the injury occurred.

After making more than 1 1⁄4 million two-cylinder tractors, John Deere switched to four- and six-cylinder engines. Announcement of the change came after seven years of development and forty million dollars in retooling.

(And, this is one 😉 I was unable to get any history on this. I was told before purchasing that it was an old radiator from a Model A. But, I think I was misled because I do not see Model A on it anywhere unless it has worn or I’m overlooking it.

What does any of that have to do with copyright? Owners, tinkerers, and homebrew “hackers” must copy programming so they can modify it. Product makers don’t like people messing with their stuff, so some manufacturers place digital locks over software. Breaking the lock, making the copy, and changing something could be construed as a violation of copyright law.

The 820 and 830 were similar overall, but also differed in their sheet metal exteriors, fuel tank designs and color schemes. The 820, a larger version of the 720 and the 720, was basically the same as the 70, except for the model number and that the sides of the hood are painted JD yellow. The 720 was upgraded to the 730 for 1959. The 730 featured more contoured bodywork than the 720 and came with more ergonomic features for the operator. Although the 730 had a short production run it became one of John Deere’s most popular models. The 730 also featured power steering and 24-volt electric starter motor instead of the V4 pony start engine. The 730 was available in diesel, gasoline and LPG as well as in row crop tricycle, row crop wide front, standard tread and hi crop wide front formats. The 730 is very popular with tractor pulling enthusiasts because of its weight, power and slow speed. Plus its good looks have become popular with tractor restorers. The 730 was a 59 hp tractor at the belt and 54 at the drawbar.

Despite a rather severe farm economy depression at the time, Deere management decided to build a Model D prototype in 1923, designed by Muir L. Frey (father of Ford Mustang designer Donald N. Frey).[2] The Deere Model D was produced from March 1, 1923 to July 3, 1953, the longest production span of all the two-cylinder John Deere tractors. Over 160,000 were made.[3]

Tractor loaders are incredibly useful both within industrial and residential settings. Tractor loader backhoes and garden tractor loaders can be used for residential landscaping purposes in place of traditional landscaping methods. These loaders can be rented from large garden centers or home improvement stores. In most cases, industrial tractor loaders are owned by large construction companies, though these machines may also be rented in some areas.

Deere bought out Tate and Gould’s interests in the company in 1853, and was joined in the business by his son Charles Deere. At that time, the company was manufacturing a variety of farm equipment products in addition to plows, including wagons, corn planters, and cultivators. In 1857, the company’s production totals reached almost 1,120 implements per month. In 1858, a nationwide financial recession took a toll on the company. To prevent bankruptcy, the company was reorganized and Deere sold his interests in the business to his son-in-law, Christopher Webber, and his son, Charles Deere, who would take on most of his father’s managerial roles. John Deere served as president of the company until 1886. The company was reorganized again in 1868, when it was incorporated as Deere & Company. While the company’s original stockholders were Charles Deere, Stephen Velie, George Vinton, and John Deere, Charles effectively ran the company. In 1869, Charles began to introduce marketing centers and independent retail dealers to advance the company’s sales nationwide. This same year, Deere & Company won “Best and Greatest Display of Plows in Variety” at the 17th Annual Illinois State Fair, for which it won $10 and a Silver Medal.[6]

Early in 2001 the 5020 Series utility tractors was introduced. These were the 45 hp 5220, 55 hp 5320, 65 hp 5420, and 75 hp 5520. But the big news for John Deere came in August 2001 in a dealer meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico where 24 new tractors from 65 to 450 horsepower were introduced. Breaking things down these were the 6003, 6020, 8020/8020T, 9020 and 9020T Series tractors.
Mini-excavators are usually the cheapest option, but they cannot move nearly the same quantity of material as larger excavators. Nonetheless, smaller excavators can be an ideal choice for smaller jobs, particularly in areas where space is very tight.
The construction business and other heavy industries rely on the use of large machines to move earth and objects, and to perform a variety of other tasks. Workers typically learn how to use heavy equipment on the job, through formal apprenticeship or by attending trade school. The pay of heavy equipment operators varies depending on the type of equipment that they use.
1994 was a red letter year in tractor development for John Deere because that year brought about the most revolutionary row crop tractors the industry had seen up to then. 1994 was the last year of the Sound Guard body with the last one built being a 2WD 4760 model. It was manufactured on 1994 May 25. This ended a 22-year run for sound guard tractors that were widely regarded as the most successful tractors ever built.

Since entering the tractor business in 1918, John Deere had focused on two-cylinder machines. The New Generation of Power introduced at Deere Day in Dallas was very different from anything Deere had built before. The new line of four- and six-cylinder tractors, the models 1010, 2010, 3010, and 4010, were more far more powerful than Deere’s two-cylinder models, and also easier and more comfortable to operate, with conveniently located controls, better visibility, and improved seat suspension. These new tractors were also easier to service.[32]

Initially, the farmer suspected that the bucket was too full of gravel, or that the ground may have been slippery, which would have contributed to forward movement. Photographs taken at the scene immediately after the accident show the tractor sitting on a slope of dry dirt and the bucket less than half full of gravel.

“These unique tractors are certainly stars of the show,” says VTPA founder Tom McConnell. “The strange combinations of different engines, turbines, aircraft engines, you name it. This was experimental tractor pulling back in the day, as builders began pushing the limits on power and performance. The Vintage Pulling Series is excited to team up with the National Tractor Pulling Legends Series for these events because both of our organizations are dedicated to preserving the history of the sport of pulling.”

A tractor loader is a type of tractor that is used to transport certain materials from one area to another space or machine. Loaders are capable of moving a massive amount of heavy material within a short amount of time. Thus, the invention of the tractor loader has greatly changed the way that construction projects are completed.

Several manufacturers recently submitted similar comments to the Copyright Office under an inquiry into the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. DMCA is a vast 1998 copyright law that (among other things) governs the blurry line between software and hardware. The Copyright Office, after reading the comments and holding a hearing, will decide in July which high-tech devices we can modify, hack, and repair—and decide whether John Deere’s twisted vision of ownership will become a reality.

A great event for enthusiasts of vintage and classic tractors. This year there will be about 200 tractors on display ranging from early models, built from about 1920 up to the latest models we see farmers use today.
